At Thriving In Unity, we’re a Registered NDIS Provider that sees the person behind the plan. With a mix of lived experience and clinical knowledge, we understand the impact the right support can have.
Our team brings together the kind of experience you can’t always teach. We’ve worked in clinical and community settings, but we’ve also walked alongside family members with disability in our own lives.
That combination means we don’t rely on assumptions — we listen, we ask, and we notice the details that matter. It also means we understand how important trust, consistency and communication are — not just for the person receiving support, but for the people around them too.
We know how powerful it can be to feel like you truly belong — to be around people who see your strengths, respect your choices, and include you without question. That’s at the heart of what we do.
From in-home support to being out and about in the community, we’re here to back you in living a life that feels meaningful, connected, and fully your own. It’s not just about accessing services — it’s about feeling seen, supported, and part of something bigger.
When support is built on genuine connection, you’re not just getting through the day — you’re building a life that reflects who you are.
Support works best when everyone’s on the same page — we connect with your family, community, and the people who know you best.
You’re welcomed into a space where you feel accepted, included, and part of something bigger.
We lead with empathy and care, making sure every person feels respected, understood, and supported.
You’re backed to build confidence, grow your independence, and take charge of your own path.
Your strengths, identity, and choices are respected — with fair access to opportunities that reflect who you are.
Disability support isn’t just about ticking off daily tasks. It’s about helping people feel seen, valued and capable — even on the harder days. That’s why we shape every part of our support around who you are, not just what’s written in your plan.
Whether it’s building confidence with new skills, keeping routines steady, or supporting community connection, we’re here to help you feel more in control and more like yourself.
We’ve used “we” a lot — but who’s behind the support at Thriving In Unity? We’re Jodie and Christine — a mother and daughter team who bring a mix of clinical expertise, aged care experience, and a shared passion for meaningful, person-led support.
Between us, we’ve spent decades working in hospitals, aged care, and community settings — and we’ve seen how the right support can bring confidence, connection, and purpose to everyday life.
Thriving in unity isn’t a big provider. We work side by side with you, to offer support that feels personal, consistent and meaningful.
I’m a Clinical Nurse Specialist with 15 years experience and a strong belief in providing support that makes a real difference in life.
I’m a Clinical Nurse Specialist with 15 years experience and a strong belief in providing support that makes a real difference in life.
I’ve worked across oncology, renal, and endocrinology in the public hospital system and held leadership roles in aged care, including Director of Nursing. My background has taught me how much dignity and connection matter, especially when people are at their most vulnerable.
In addition to my clinical background, I’ve seen firsthand the power of small moments of support. Watching our family members with intellectual disabilities and autism grow in confidence through simple skills, like introducing themselves or dressing for an event, has shown me how meaningful these moments can be in transforming lives.
I also have a deep passion for bringing people together. Through creating community events and workshops, I’ve seen how giving people a sense of purpose and belonging can truly make a difference.
It’s this combination of clinical expertise, personal experience and the power of connection that inspired me to create Thriving in Unity.
My vision: No one left out, no one left behind.
I’ve worked in aged care for over 30 years, with a strong focus on creating experiences that help people feel more like themselves.
I’ve worked in aged care for over 30 years, with a strong focus on creating experiences that help people feel more like themselves.
During that time, I supported many young people with disability who were living in aged care environments — often in settings that weren’t designed for them.
For 15 of those years, I worked in lifestyle and recreation, designing events and everyday experiences that created joy and connection.
Jodie and I have worked closely together in aged care, always focused on what’s best for the individual.
Now, as co-directors — and as family — we’ve built Thriving In Unity around the same values we’ve carried throughout our careers.
At Thriving in Unity, our logo reflects the heart of who we are and what we stand for.
The lotus flower, central to our design, is a powerful symbol of resilience, growth, and transformation. Just as the lotus rises from murky waters to bloom in beauty and strength, we believe that every individual, regardless of challenges, has the ability to overcome barriers, thrive, and find their place in the community.
The figures within the petals represent inclusivity and connection, illustrating the strength we create when people come together to support one another. Below the flower, the flowing lines symbolise movement and progress—gentle yet purposeful steps forward in life’s journey.
Together, these elements express our mission: to create a safe, supportive space where no one is left behind, helping individuals feel valued, empowered, and capable of achieving their fullest potential.
We’re proud of what this logo represents: transformation, belonging, and a commitment to helping others thrive in unity.
If you’re thinking about support but not sure where to begin, you’re not alone. Get in touch and we’ll talk it through together — at your pace, in a way that makes sense for you.
Thoughtful, personalised NDIS support that’s built on real connection, respect, and the things that matter to you.
